Filipino-Americans in NASA, Jollibee and a Black Chicken

Not all Filipino OFWs work in healthcare or service industries, some help explore space. Filipino-American engineers have played key roles in NASA missions, including the Mars rover programs.
One example is Gregory Villar III, who worked on the Curiosity rover team, and Ed Santos, a systems engineer for space flight systems. These Pinoys show that Filipinos contribute not just on Earth but even on other planets.

Meanwhile, Did you know?
Jollibee isn’t just the Philippines’ favorite fast food chain - it’s also a global food empire! The company owns over 17 international brands, including:
Smashburger (USA), The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Tortazo, co-founded with Michelin-starred Chef Rick Bayless in Chicago
From Chickenjoy to coffee and gourmet tacos, Jollibee Foods Corporation is quietly shaping the global dining scene with Filipino roots at the core.

Lastly, Did you know that....
The Ayam Cemani is one of the most exotic chicken breeds in the world. Originated in Indonesia, this animal is completely black due to a genetic mutation called fibromelanosis, which causes hyperpigmentation throughout its body.
Not only is their plumage black but also their flesh, bones and internal organs. This rarity has made them considered a symbol of power and good fortune in some cultures.
