Immigrant Integration in Post-Conflict Cities: A Belfast Case Study

As part of the Elliott School Dean's Scholars program, I conducted interviews with immigrants and first-generation residents in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to understand their integration into a post-conflict society. I had interviewees outline their daily lives in Belfast on a map to understand how segregated neighborhoods impact their daily lives. I created maps as a part of my senior thesis with ArcGIS Pro.

The Digital Divide and Digital Discrimination in Los Angeles' Disadvantaged and Low-Income Communities

I was hired by Professor Catherine J.K. Sandoval to assist with data analysis and visualization for her dissertation at the University of Redding. We examined the variability of fiber competition within Los Angeles County. I utilized ArcGIS Pro and Adobe Illustrator.

Maps 1-3 examine pricing packages for fiber and CalEnviroScreen 4.0 data for selected Census Tracts. Map 4 examines "phantom pricing" in the same Census Tracts.

More About Me

Outside of GIS and research, I co-direct the nonprofit, Kesem at GW, which provides a cost-free summer camp for kids who have been affected by a parent's cancer. I also enjoy cycling, my part-time job at the library, and wandering into tulip fields.
