In Puerto Rico "chongo" has multiple meanings. It can refer to a weak horse, a haul of low-quality bananas, or a blunt knife. In Argentine slang, "chongo" describes a casual romantic partner. In the Philippines, people will call you a chongo in a joking manner. It meant you are a monkey! I have been called a chongo during my younger years when I misbehave and act like an idiot.
