Home Isn't just a Place- It's a Feeling

Chateau Du Mer Main House and Gardens-Our Second Home in the Philippines

Just recently, I posted in my blogs an article titled Home is not a Place, But in the Heart.

https://chateaudumer.blogspot.com/2025/02/home-is-not-place-but-in-heart_17.html

I received numerous positive comments in that article, so that when I read the following paragraph from Lazy Traveler Blog this morning, I decided to repost it for your reading pleasure.

Here's the paragraph from the Lazy Traveler blog.

" Where flowers line the path, and the sunrise whispers: "You're home." 🌸💛 The golden morning light gently kisses the rooftops, casting a soft glow on the quiet street. A light breeze carries the sweet scent of blooming flowers, filling the air with warmth and comfort. Birds welcome the day with their cheerful songs, their melodies blending with the distant laughter of neighbors starting their morning routines. The world feels unhurried here, as if time itself respects the peace of the countryside. The cool pavement, still damp with dew, reflects the promise of a fresh start. Every corner of this place holds a familiar charm, a quiet embrace that makes you feel safe. In this morning light, home isn’t just a place - it’s a feeling. "🌿🏡

This was my primary residence here in the US from 2002 to 2023
The backyard and front yard of Primary Home before my move to THD in Fair Oaks, Ca
This house was sold and my
downsizing move to THD was a resounding success, although a little bit painful at the beginning.  However, currently I am very Happy with my living situation here at THD.

I am super grateful for the opportunity, of enjoying the Amenities offered by this active Senior Living Community (THD) here in Walnut Creek. THD has been awarded Best of Senior Living three years in a row by APlaceforMom.com

Meanwhile, Did you Know That,,,,

During the Spanish era, Filipino textiles were so exquisite that European elites prized them like gold! Piña cloth, woven from pineapple fibers, was worn by royalty and even made its way into the wardrobes of Spanish aristocrats.

Some fabrics were so fine they were compared to European lace. Yet, this rich textile heritage is often forgotten in history books.
