From My Reading this Week.
Reading this reminded me, that many thousand times in my 63-years of marriage, my wife, Macrine( RIP) and I would finished each other sentences. Sometimes, we were surprised that at some precise time, our minds are thinking of exactly the same topic. We just look at each other in awe and amazement, but after a while, with this telepathic event happens. we just ignore it as part of our daily living. Have you experience this with someone? I like to hear from you.
"Our brain can sync with someone you are deeply bonded to. The word telepathy sounds like science fiction. Minds talking without words. Thoughts traveling across space. But modern neuroscience has uncovered something surprisingly close.
When two people share a deep emotional bond, their brains begin to behave in ways that almost look like communication beyond language. In lab studies, researchers measured brain activity of close friends while they were separated but exposed to the same emotional cues or tasks. What happened was striking. Their neural patterns began to align. Brain waves synced. Stress responses rose and fell together. Even when they could not see or hear each other, their brains reacted as if they were sharing the moment.
Scientists call this brain-to-brain coupling. It is not mind reading. It is emotional attunement at the deepest level. Your brain evolved to survive in relationships. When you feel safe with someone, your nervous systems start mirroring. Your breathing can match. Your heart rhythms can align. Your thoughts and attention begin to map to each other’s patterns. With best friends and close partners, this connection becomes faster, stronger, and sometimes eerily intuitive. So is telepathy real? Not in the magical sense.
But your brain absolutely forms invisible bridges with the people you trust and love. That intuitive feeling you get when a friend knows what you are thinking? That is biology, not fantasy. Protect the relationships that feel like your mind already recognizes them. They are literally shaping your brain".
