Dean Elias and Me with our Octoberfest Hats
In spite of the mid-90's temperature here at THD yesterday, our Octoberfest celebration here at THD was a resounding success. It was held at the Liberty Pavilion Garden Court Yard featuring the almost completed gigantic mural by Trenton Gregory.
I am reposting some photos taken by Jenny S from the THD Face Book Page. The photos were beautiful and fully describes the successful celebration of this Internationally Celebrated German Holiday.

Thank you THD Management and Activity Director KK.
Note: Oktoberfest is annual festival in Munich, Germany, held over a two-week period and ending on the first Sunday in October. The festival originated on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. A number of U.S. cities, particularly those with large German American populations, hold Oktoberfests modeled on the original in Munich. These popular celebrations, which feature beer and German food, are an attempt to reproduce the Bavarian sense of gemütlichkeit—cordiality.
