Finally two places close to my heart:
1. Iloilo City-Queen City of the South-my birth place, Jaro, Iloilo City
• lloilo was once the Queen City of the South and is determined to regain its crown.
• Ilonggos are generally gentle. There is always a certain amount of meekness in the way we say things, and a smile usually accompanies it.
2. Marinduque-Heart of the Philippines, Geographical Center of the Philippines. Lenten Capital of the Philippines-my retirement /second home( Chateau Du Mer), Boac, Marinduque
Marinduque is mainly known because of its Moriones Festival, a week-long Lenten event. The term "Moriones" came from the word Morion which means masks. The main event of the festival is the re-enactment of the story of a Roman soldier named Longinus.

Here's a tourist guide to the Philippines:
Personal Note: I came to the US as a Graduate Student at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1960.
In 1964 I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and the rest of my life is now history. I am indeed grateful and feel Blessed of my life here in the US, and now specifically here at The Heritage Downtown ( THD),Walnut Creek, since June 1 this year.
My family and I built a retirement beach house in Boac, Marinduque three years prior to my retirement from the FDA in 2002. Every year from 2002 to 2017, we spent 3-4 months in our beach house(Chateau Du Mer) in the Philippines. It had been almost 5 years since my last visit to the Philippines. Will I ever visit the Philippines again before I conked out from Planet Earth? That is a Question, I can not answer now. Macrine (RIP) my spouse for over 63 years joined her creator in August 10, 2020.

Do you need to have dual citizenship in order to legally own property back home?
I believe the answer is yes. Check with Immigration Laws in the Philippines.
